About Amy
If you’ve been around the Southwest Florida music scene for a while, you may know Amy by her longtime nickname, “Canary for Hire.” Fellow musicians gave her the name as a nod to the Big Band Era, when the featured female vocalist—or “canary”—stood at the front of the bandstand and brought every song to life.
Today, the nickname "Canary for Hire" is just one part of Amy’s musical story.
Whether fronting DiscoMania Florida, performing with the Take 2 Duo, appearing with The Marc Vee Band, leading worship at Hope City Church, or joining other bands as a guest vocalist, Amy is known for her versatility, professionalism, and genuine connection with every audience.
Classically trained since the age of 15, Amy has spent decades entertaining audiences throughout the country.
Her experience spans studio recording, cruise ship entertainment, national anthem performances, big bands, variety bands, and live performances across countless weddings, country clubs, corporate events, fundraisers, festivals, and private celebrations.
No matter the venue or occasion, Amy’s goal is always the same: to tell a great story through music and help create an unforgettable celebration.
